Richnew41 | Anyone have an opinion on what Trans filter to buy??? Went onto Rock Auto to order and they have 9 options/companies selling the filter... Or should i just order an OEM from Mopar site?? |
ALLEY CAT | Mopar or AC DELCO filter should be fine...... |
Tomcal | WIX makes these for many of the car companies(OEM). http://www.wixfilters.com/ |
padroo | I went to Advance Auto and bought this one and used the supplied gasket and had no leaks so far. I was impressed with the heavy gauge steel transmission pan that comes on the Prowler. There was no dimpling at the bolt holes like some others I have seen. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/carquest-trans -filters-transmission-filter-85993/10896013-P?searchTerm=transmission+filter This message has been edited by padroo on 05-18-2017 at 07:32 PM |
Richnew41 | Thanks for the responses... Question please, I noticed the pan is torqued down extremely tight 165lbs... Is that correct? If so do you still torque to that spec when using a gasket???Thanks Rich |

I would have to check but more like inch pounds. 17 foot pounds on page 21-107 of the 1999 manual. Fluid filter screws 45 inch pounds. This message has been edited by padroo on 05-19-2017 at 01:21 PM |
